We had a surprise passenger on our flight to Tampa from
A/C.
Spike had to come home for the calling hours of a good friend who passed away, and he booked the same flight back that we were on. Spike enjoying a Bloody Mary High.....in the air!
Now here was my drink(s).
Here was one of our flight
attendants. I told her she was
going to be on a famous website. Fergie picked us up at the airport in Tampa, and the first place we went to across the Causeway is the Bahama Breeze. The Bahama Breeze, and lunch is the first thing we do
in Florida. Here is Fergie our Uber driver.
He picks us up, and drops us off at the airport. Here is Spike sipping on his Ultimate Margarita.Spike, Joebo, and Fergie getting ready to chow down!Speaking of "chowing down"
here is a pic of Fergie's Ultinate Burger.A shot from our seats on the patio with the causeway in the background. Our Uber driver (Fergie) pointing out some of the sights around the casueway. And here is a pic taken by me in the front seat of us actually driving on that famous causeway. After lunch we checked into
our room at the Holiday Inn, and went next door to our fave place at the Tiki Bar at Shephard's Beach Resort where we ususally stay. My first drink there was this Pina Colada. This is a pic of Swish after dark. I took it because I thought he looked like Bernie Madoff
in this picture. He escaped! We don't just party all of the time when we go to Florida.
Here is Bernie....er..a...I mean Spike working out in the exercise room at the Holiday Inn.This is the view from our room
at HI. It wasn't the best, but....Hey...there's a palm tree
and some water. Our third fave place on the bucket list is Hooters. There are none in NE Ohio so this was a must.
And here's our lil bitty Hooter girl dolpin greeting us.Hooters is famous for their wings so we ordered a bunch. Here is a pic of some of them.More wings along with a few pitchers of brewshies. Here are R. B., Spike, and Fergie enjoying their wings and some famous Hooters curly fries. And what would Hooters be without the Hooters Girls?
The weather was a little cool in Florida with rain so the girls were a little bundled up.And naturally Spike and I had to take a picture with them.
A great picture for my Alfred
Hitchcock moment.Speaking of Spike, here he is
standing in front of the entrance way to Crabby's
Bar & Grill after we left Hooters. It is just acros the street from the Gulf.Another dolphin greeted us as we entered up the stairs. This pic is a little hard to explain! Yes, it is R. B. The hair? Not his. It is attached to the hat. Why is he wearing it? Good question. Every Halloween I buy a little something out of the ordinary for him to wear. This was what I got him one year. He brought it to Florida. The next three pictures were taken in the lobby of our hotel.
Anything we could find we put an O-H hat on it for the
pictures. GO BUCKS!GO BUCKS!Jimmy's Fish House was the
bar/restaurant at the Holiday Inn where we were staying next door to Shephard's.
We were going to watch the Super Bowl there, but plans changed. This Gaint Bloody Mary greats you as you enter. These are the Real Bloody
Mary's that they actually do serve at the Iguana Bar.
There is shrimp, and a salad bar on the stirrer along with a beer chaser. A meal in itself. Here I am at the bar with Spike
enjoying our Giant Bloody Mary's!I had a red OSU hat with me.
One of the bartenders wanted to wear it. GO BUCKS!Spike, R. B., S. B., and I all went to Jimmy's to start out the day. One by one they started to leave. I asked the
bartender if I could order a Hald Pina Coloda. She said NO.
So I ordered this, but I only drank Half so I could join the
others. I fixed her! Here we have Spike, smoking
a stokie, at Shephard's Tiki
Bar with R. B.
This was a great day out on
the deck, but it was a little chilly/ You needed a jacket to
wear!Another pic from the deck of
Shephard's Tiki Bar across
the Gulf/This pic was taken out on the
same deck, and if you look closely, and maybe Zoom, you
might see a lovely young girl
in a bikini! As I said previously we were supposed to watch the Super Bowl at Jimmy's. this is one reason that we stayed at
Shephard's Tiki Bar. Our Sweedish brtender with goldilocks! Here are two girls who just happened to be sitting next
to us at the bar.
That is Bonnie on the left. She
added me as a Friend on FB so that I could send her some
of these pics. Here is Bonnie and her friend again wishing all of our friends back is Ohio Hey!It does get dark in Florida too.
The Super Bowl game was going to be televised on a big
screen on the stage of the deck of the Tiki Bar. darkness
had set in.It was a little chilly, but it didn't matter as the staff at Shephard's brought out the patio heaters. This is the burger that Fergie ordered at the bar during the game. Here is Fergie chowing down on that big boy!Since it became a lot colder after the first half we decided to go up to the room that I,
S. B., Spike, and i were staying in to watch the second hald of the game.
The next 5 pictures were taken from the TV in our room.
Way to go Broncos.Jim Nance iterview after game. Jim Nance presenting the Superbowl Trophy to Horseface. A Cleveland Browns nemesis for so many
years.Nance interviewing Manning. What could he ask?Yesssssssssss.
We had a pool between the
5 Geezers who were at the game. WE all guessed the team that would win, and the final Total Score.
Guess who won? I run the website! Ha ha ha!This is not Loyd Bridges or the Creature From The Black LHe has a sleep disorder that is correted with this contraption.
And he doesn't snore No Mas!And here Spike is with his Bed Buddy S. B. Needless to say
there was soemthing going on
when this pic was taken, but
the camera malfunctioned! It was time to go back to Ohio,
but along the way we stopped
again at the Bahama Breeze for lunch.
Here is Uber Fergie's salad. Yummy! Then it was back down the Causeway to the airport, and
on to Ohio!

                 THE END
