GEEZERS CLEVELAND INIDANS OPENING  DAY 2015
The Geezers do not go to the actual games any longer since we were snowed-out in 2007. We just go to a Sports Bar and watch it together. This year it was Hooley House in Montrose.

L-R are Robo, Spike, R. B.,
J.Bo, and Drumstir. Here is Drumstir with a
combo outfit of an Indians
ballcap, and an Ohio State
2014 NCAA Champions T-Shirt.
GO TRIBE! GO BUCKS! This picture on TV was
at Home Plate at Progressive Field where the introductions of players from both teams were made, and where Gaylord Perry made the First Pitch to start off the Home season. Gaylord Perry was perparing
to throw out the First Pitch.
Gaylord was a spit-ball pitcher
(Which is illegal) back in the 70's when he pitched for Cleveland. (1972-1975)Here is Perry throwing the pitch. He pitched for 8 different teams in 22 years in in the MLB.
He was voted in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991.
He was a 5-time Allstar, won the Cy Young award for Cleveland, and the SF Giants, and pitched a No-Hitter September 17, 1968. From L-R, R. B., Spike, and
Robo (Spike's son Rob) sitting
at the bar at Hooley's giving
you an idea of how it looks.OMG! How did Sue Barto get
in these pictures. Oh well,
GO TRIBE!Tricia, one of the bartenders
at Legends evidently went on a bus trip from Frank's Place
to the game.
The Geezers will be at Legends Wednesday, April 15,
2015. Hooly House is an Irish restuarant. I tried their Shepherd's Pie which was
delicious. They also have American food. This is a picture of R. B.'s turkey sandwich on a pretzel bun. It looked good. This was my Bloody Mary.
I saw a few people having them, and they looked good.
It didn't taste bad, but there were no garnishes. No celery
stalks or olives.
When I asked for them they gave me (Pieces of) celery and teenie tiny olives. They need an upgrade here. Here are the olives that they
gave me for my Bloody Mary. There are TV's and tables
all over the main resturant. Here are two tables near the corner of the room in front of the bar that have TV's above them. Natrually they both had
The Indians game on.These are three Big Screen TV's behind the bar. There are
about 6 of them. Since the Masters Golf Tournament was
on, Hooley's had both the Cleveland Indians Home Opener and the Masters on the screens. I bought these "Lucky" socks
just for the Indians Opener.
As it turned out they were not
very "Lucky" as the Tribe
lost big time to the Tigers 8-4! The Indians 3rd baseman from
1947-1956 passed away on
March 13, 2015. He was 91.
All players will wear his #7 on their uniforms this season.
He ahd a .285 career BA, 192 HR's, and 717 RBI's.
He was a 4X All Star, 2X HR Champ, 2X RBI Champ, and
AL MVP IN 1953.Here is a pic of some of the customers at the other end of the bar during the game.Do to the fact that the game wasn't very exciting for Indians fans we decided to play the Ohio Lottery Keno
game. We won a few dollars, but ended up putting it all back in. However, one guy at the bar ended up winning $500. Just our luck!
