GEEZERS NITE OUT - THE RAMP ON SANDY BEACH - JANUARY 9, 2019
This is The Ramp At Sandy Beach, 3719 S. Main St, Akron, Ohio. The Ramp LogoThis is what you'll see when you walk in. A Boat!
When we were leaving we saw that the seats in the boat had been converted into a booth. At least that's the way it looked. Come in and check it out. This is the main dining area. We didn't go too far in there, but it looks comfortable, and is surrounded by windows which give you a great view of the lake. Another look at the wood flooring in the restaurant,
giving it more character. And is something to walk on!This is one veiw of the long bar. Not the "Longest Bar" as the one at the Beer Barrel Saloon in Put 'N Bay, but pretty long. We never counted the seats, but is also surrounded by windows with a vew of the lake.lAnother view of the bar which also gives you a view of the lake. Also in this picture you can see the many TV's above it. We never counted those either. But there are enough to go around. Another view of the bar, and a look out the windows of the lake. This picture is of one of the TV's above the bar, and is
of no real interest, but
using it to make the pictures
in this photo gallery come out even. I took it because the
head coach of the Patriots,
Bill Belichick was on it! This is an interesting clock. It could be considered an
antique. It possibly came from the former Blue Swan
Restaurant at 430 Portage
Lakes Dr on Portage Lakes.
It was also known as White
Rhino, Bumper's, and Froggies. Demolished March
of 2015. We casually checked out the
menu that was given to us
at the bar. At this point we
don't know if it is for the whole restaurant. The bean soup
sounded good, and was. It
was enjoyed by JoeBo, R. B.
and the Candyman who showed up with Mary Ann,
his wife.By ordering the bean soup
 we were rewarded with
two cornbread cupcakes.
They were bigger than they
looked in this pic, and made the soup more enjoyable.
Another item from the menu
were sauerkraut balls.
JoeBo, and R. B. split an order.
They were very good, and went well with the soup. This is the Cod Fish Sandwich that S. B. ordered.
I'm not sure how he liked
it, but when I asked him, he
said: "It's fish!"
It looked good. This is an item found on the
menu by The Forester called
a Tuna Wrap. When asked he
said it was OK.
We aren't exactly food
connoisseurs. We just ike to eat.
GEEZERS NITE OUT - THE TOWN TAVERN - APRIL 24, 2019
IT'S OFFICIAL!
The new Town Tavern is the new kid on the block! Here is a shot of the main part of the bar. There are TV's EVERYWHERE!This pic is to the left side of that last pic. This picture is to the left of that last one. Where the tables and chairs used to be for groups.
It is actually a long winding bar. starting from there. These are the TV's at the
part of the bar that we sat at. It is to the right of where you walk in and towards the patio. This is the actual pic of the bar. It has a large round table attached to it that the bartenders have to use a "grabber" tool to serve the
customers. And here she is. Yea, Tricia was there. On Wednesdays
she will be there from Noon
to 9:00 pm.
She was there Before we
got there, and After we left.
Hey, we are The Geezers!

As far as we could tell the Menu at the Tavern was
pretty similar.
I personally ate late in the afternoon so I only had one
of their featured Weiners. This one was called the
"Plain Jane"! Or better put,
"build-a-dog! I just put on
the standard ketchup, mustard, and relish.Drumstir just wanted a
regular cheeseburger. The
one he got had 2 patties. It
was good but too filling.
Trish suggested he get a child's portion next time.

GEEZERS NITE OUT - THE TOWN TAVERN - NEW PATIO - MAY 29, 2019

The majority of these pictures were taken outdoors of the new TT Patio. But before we took those pics a couple of us ate from the Tavern menu. Wednesdays the food Special is Flat Bread Pizza for $5.99. JoeBo had the "build your own"! He chose Broccoli & green pepper. After much deliberation Spike chose the "Jumbo" Wings. They must have caught the chicken on of his off days from exercising. This shot was taken at the opening in the building created by one of the garage doors that are to be opened during the warmer months. The next four pics were taken of the patio bar, tables, and chairs. It was early in the evening so it wasn't that crowded at the time. And we
believe that the recent weather had a lot to do with the turnout. But look who we found out there. It was our good friend Bud "Buddy Bell" Drier.
Most of us know him as a fellow Goodyear Assocaite.

nite. He has not been around
for awhile, but he is still flying high!On this nite the name of our
dear deparated Geezer,
friend, and fellow Goodyear
associate Dano Powell came up.
We were at The Ramp on July
10, 2019, and he passed away on July 12, 2005.
We had a toast to his memory
being so close to his anniversary date. RIP DANO!
GEEZERS NITE OUT - THE GALAXY - WADSWORTH - AUGUST 21, 2019
It was Geezers Nite out at The
Galaxy in Wadsworth, and our
Florida Geezer Jim Fish, who
was in town with his wife Karen. From L-R are Jimbo,
Joebo, and Spike. Here's Jimbo (Waving) with
S. B. We always sit at the
huge bar out on the patio at
The Galaxy for their Patio
Parties with a Live Band! Spike enjoying one of the huge
pretzel sticks that R. B. bought
at Happy Hour to share with the rest of the Geezers.
You can see R. B, with the red
shirt, and golf hat also chomping down on one. Here is Buddmann, our International Geezer from Germany enjoying the Happy
Hour wings. He was born, and raised in the States, but lives abroad. He also played in a band in the 60's in Kent with
JoeBo! (Not playing a harmonica in this pic) These are the huge pretzel
sticks that R. B. purchased
to share with the rest of the Geezers. These are the actual Happy
Hour wings that Buddmann
enjoyed. Jimbo didn't want any part of
the puny Happy hour wings.
These are his 13 (Count 'em)
Jumbo Wings. Jumbo Wings for Jimbo! This is a pic of JoeBo's
Stargazer (Shooting Star)
burger. This was taken in his kitchen. It's a long, long story,
but it was a crowded night,
an he ended up ordering it
To Go! (Popular item) As you can see this is the radio station 97.5 WONE
Batmobile. They bring all of
the goodies that they give away during the course of the night. (But you have to be there!)This is TK O'Graydy with the dynamic voice welcoming
the crowd to The Galaxy for
an evening of fun, and musical
entertainment. Here we have Helene, who is
employed by the WONE
promotions department. She
is here with Spike (Swish) who is one of US! (Geezers).
And here is Helene with Jimbo
welcoming him to The Galaxy,
and to Ohio. As I said before
he is from Homosassa, Florida.
(Born and raised in the States!)
