S.B. BIRTHDAY PARTY AT THE WINKING LIZARD DURING GEEZERS NITE OUT 1/14/15
Here is S.B. (Dougie) doing his
usual thang at GNO.
However, later on he livens
up.This is the B-Day card got him.
Inside is a girl shaking her but.
It says something about mixed
or shaken Martinis. I believe
S. B. likes them SHAAAAKEN!Here are some of the Geezers and Friend attending the
fumction.
From L-R are R. B., Krisko,
Dougie, and Billy Bob.This is Mandy. She is out fave
bartender at the Lizard in
Montrose.
She likes Krisko because she
had me deliver a special batch
of cookies for Christmas to
Mandy and the rest of the staff. Here is Dougie drinking the "Dirty Martini" that I bought him
for his B-Day. He likes them
"DIRTY"! This is My Pizza.
GEEZERS NITE OUT AT JOHNNY J'S PUB & GRILLE IN SPRINGFIELD, OH 1/21/15
Here is one of our Geezers
who joins us now and then,
because he frequents clubs
that have money games such as Queen of Hearts. So when
that gets up there he is there.
He also is the creator of Jerry's Corner on our website. We were at Johnny J's on a Wednesday. The Happy Hour
involves 1/2 Price Appetizers,
and Martinis for $3.
This is S. B.'s Dirty Martini.And here is S. B. embibing a
Dirty Martini.
His signature drink every week is at least one Martini at
the end of the evening. So this
was a natural.
Sitting next to him is The Forester. John made an appearance on this eveing. This is my dinner. Chili and Fried Pickles. Fried Pickles is
a fave of our friend Mardi in Texas, and a Phantom Band
Groupie.
By the way, both were excellent. Here are the Fried Pickles making a command performance.OK, right away, this picture is
blurred. Yes! The reason?
I usually take a picture of
S. B. concentrating on his
iPhone during the course of the evening. He knows that I do this. In this case both S. B.
and the Forester were doing it.
I tried to take a pic of both of them, but we all laughed!
FEBRUARY 2015 POTPOURI
Here is The Jerry, of Jerry's
Corner, at Tami's Country Kitchen in Dade City, Florida
just having ONE Pancake for
breakfast. Jerry said that he didn't eat the
whole thing, and was holding
his plate up to the camera to
prove it.
Come on Jerry, there is only one bite left, and I bet that was gone after this picture was taken! From L-R are Drumstir, and
Billy Bob in Key West.
they were down there right after S. B., and I (Joebo)
went back to Akron. From L-R again are Billy Bob,
Drumstir, and a friend of Billy
Bob.
This picture was sent anonymously by someone
who believes that it may be
our long lost Geezer, the Candyman.
It may be coincidental that he
is standing in front of a
restaurant called Virgilio's? This is my "ole" boss Sandi
Brubach. She is down south somewhere. warmer than
here. It looks like she found
a friend down there. The next 8 pictures are those
posted by Krisko (Kris Conley)
from Florida.
This picture was taken in Venice, Florida. Not sure where this picture was taken, But Krisko moved on to New Smyrna Beach. I
wonder why she didn't go to
"Old" Smyrna Beach? A couple of sunset photos.SUNSET.Krisko was there for the Polar
Bear Plunge. She didn't go in.
I thought it was warm in Florida. Krisko on the dock. She said
it was quite windy that day.
I think it is always windy in
Florida. Greg Conley on the left, and
another friend on the beach.More Polar Bears taking the
plunge.Cathy and Peter Terracciano's
new motor home. They had
another one last year, but this
one is really laid out. Here they are, Cathy, and Peter. They were golfing in
Sedona, CA while we are having a winter storm in Ohio.
They're mobile home is waiting
for them. Here is the winter storm in Ohio outside their condo
window that I am living in.
Thanks guys! Now this is a Carrot. I'm sure it is more tahtn 14!
Good for soup in the Winter!
GEEZERS NITE OUT FOR FAT TUESDAY AT JOHNNY J'S PUB & GRILLE FEB 17, 2015
GEEZERS NITE OUT
Johnny J's Fat Tuesday Party
Feb 17. 2015MARDI GRAS MENU This was our bartender for most of the evening, Alyssa!Another one of the bartenders
at JJ's Ericka. My Alfred Hitchcock moment
with Alyssa!S. B. having his signature
after dinner drink only this
tiem it was Crown on the Rocks! R. B. finally made it back from
Florida. He flew down with
S. B. and I, but he didn't come back until last Saturday, Feb 14. This was a bowl of Chicken & Sausage Gumbo that I ordered
off of JJ's Mardi Gras Menu.
It was excellent! The "Dirty Rice" was also good, but it could have used
some kind of sauce.
This was S. B.'s Caesar Salad.
I hope no one told Caesar who took it!
GEEZERS NITE OUT AT THE WINKING LIZARD-COPLEY!
My (Joebo)fave beer there.
Can't go wrong with Guinness.
Low Alcohol. Low Cal!It was crowded at the bar,
and the dining area next to it.
But someone, we don't know
who, bought the whole bar
Grape Bombs.
Of course we didn't want to
insult him! Sooooooooo.....Another exciting Geezers
Nite Out for S. B.
The juke box cast an unusual
lglow which made this picture
look a little erie. Not the Lake!Things picked up when he
oredered 10 of the Hottest
wings they had which were
called "Fire In The Hole"!Here is S. B. digging into his
Fire In The Hole wings.
He was having a little trouble
getting thru the first two or
three. He even had to excuse himself for a little while.
But he came back and dug (No pun intended) into the pile.R. B.'s choice was a Cajun
Chicken Wrap. He said it was
OK! I (Joebo) ordered a little
something different. It was
a Grilled Chicken Sandwich
with a side of steamed veggies. Excellent.OK, back to S. B. He was like
Mikey, he ate the whole thing.
Yes, he ate them all.
An amazing accomplishment.
They should have given him a
T-Shirt or something!
GEEZERS NITE OUT AT THE WINKING LIZARD FEB 25, 2015
GEEZERS NITE OUT AT WOLF CREEK TAVERN - NORTON, OHIO - MARCH 4, 2015
GEEZERS NITE OUT
WOLF CREEK TAVERN NORTON, OH
MARCH 4, 2015
Wolf Creek Tavern infuses
different flavors of fruits into
their alcoholic drinks that they
make on the premises.
They also brew their own brews. This is an unusual place.
However, standard alcoholic
drinks are available along with
popular beers. This was our bartender for the
evening, Nicole.
It was our first time at Wolf
Creek, and it was Nicole's
first week behind the bar
there. They do have a very good chef hiding in the back.
I had a Cod Fish Sandwich.
This is the house salad which
preceded it.Here is the fish sandwich.
It was excellent. This is S. B.'s Veggie Wrap.
It looks good, but they put
Feta Cheese in it, and Feta
Cheese doesn't like ME.Billy Bob arrived a little late.
He ordered the Chicken Sandwich. Drumstir, and R. B.
also ordered it. It is a popular
item on the menu, and highly
recommended. This is the Infused Black
Cherry Bourbon that S. B.
ordered. He said it was fabulous. (Pinky in the air)Here is S. B. sipping on the
Black Cherry Bourbon drink
with W. C. Fields looking on
behind him.
GEEZERS NITE OUT - WINKING LIZARD - MONTROSE - MARCH 25, 2015
GEEZERS NITE OUT
WINKING LIZARD - MONTROSE
MARCH 25, 2015 One of our favorite bartenders, Mandy, picking out
something healthy for us to order! S. B., in a Signature photo, sampling something called MEAD at the Lizard.
It is literally fermented honey.
He liked the sample, but an
8.1 ounce glass of this would
have been 356 Calories! TABOO! This was my (J.BO) dinner
that evening. It was the first time that I had it, and it was excellent. Grilled Salmon with grilled Veggies. Delicious!
GEEZERS NITE OUT - HOOLEY HOUSE -MONTROSE - APRIL 1, 2015
GEEZERS NITE OUT & YES
IT WAS APRIL FOOLS' DAY
APRIL 1, 2015
HOOLEY HOUSE SPORTS
PUB & GRILLE - MONTROSE
This was my (J.BO) Guinness
draft beer that I ordered.
You could say that this was a
"Perfect Pour"!
Hooley House has a variety of
foreign and domestic beers. Here is Tina. She was our
bartender for most of the nite.
She was nice enough to let us
take a picture for our website.
She took good care of us while we were there. Here is S. B. checking his iPone at the meeting. We usually have a pic of him drinking a Martini or a shot of
some kind of exotic bourbon,
but on this nite he was all business. Here is a shot of our Entertainment Director, R. B. He was in the middle of a story talking Italian (Using his
hands), but stopped when he
saw me taking a picture. Hooley House is actually an
Irish restaurant. Spike tried
the Irish Egg Rolls, and said that they were very good. A
combination of Corned Beef,
Cabbage, and Eggs? This was S. B.'s choice for
dinner. He ordered a Choplte
Checken Wrap, but to our surprise he ordered Tater Tots
as a Side. Diet Breaker!!!!!Now this was MY "healthy" choice. I ordered a Turkey
Club Wrap (Without Mayo),
with a side of Grilled Veggies.
GEEZERS NITE OUT - KEVIN O'BRYAN'S - SOUTH AKRON- APRIL 8, 2015
This is Karen. She is not a bartender at KOB's. She is a bartender at Dusyt's Yacht Club on Portage Lakes.
The reason I took this pic is because I was at Dusty's, but
I was supposed to be at KOB's. Hey, I'm a Geezer!
Karen was not too happy about it!This is Philly. She IS a bartender at KOB's. She was
working days. She left for the
day about an hour after we
arrived for GNO.And this is Jennifer. She IS also a bartender at KOB's.
She came in to relieve Philly for the day. When I made it to the right
place for GNO, after being at
Dusty's by mistake, I was surprised to see the Candyman sitting with Spike at
the bar.
We saw him in Florida with his wife Mary Ann when the Geezers were there. They are
heading to Lake Erie soon.KOB's has a Food Special of
Hamburgers on Wednesdays.
This is a Chipolte Burger that
S. B. ordered. They are $5.00.
He said that he had calories to
spare! He he is chomping down on that Bad Boy!
Calories to spare?S. B.'s burger looked so good that everyone, but me (J.BO), and Spike ordered one.
This was the one that the
Forester ordered. Forester gave it a vallant effort, but he had to lay it down, and get out the old knife, and fork!
Here we have Spike, Billy Bob,
and the Candyman yacking away!The Forester, R. B., and S. B.
sitting at a table next to the bar. This is my (J.BO) Corned Beef sandwich that was excellent.
I love corned beef.We were watching both the
indians and Cavs side by side on TVs.
The amazing thing is that they both WON! And the Cavs not
only won the Central Division,
but they are also the Second Seed in the NBA Playoffs.
GEEZERS NITE OUT - LEGENDS SPORTS PUB & GRILLE - GREEN, OH - APRIL 15, 2015
HAPPY BIRHDAY TRICIA
Pictured here is Tricia, one of the bartenders at Legends.
On this night we were helping her celebrate her birthday.
She is holding the card that
the Geezers all signed before
giving it to her.
We were surprised that she was wotking on her special day! Here is Bubba, our Atlanta
Geezer, with S. B.
Bubba (Jim) was back in town
to visit his sister who is ill.
Best wishes to her. It was good to see him. Here is Bubba again with our
Entertainment Director, R. B.
In this picture R. B. is not
exactly posing either!I just had to get a picture of
Bubba with his hat off so that
people with recognize him. And here is Bubba with the
rest of most of the Geezers
who were there.
From L-R are S.B., Bubba, Billy Bob, and R. B.
I'm glad that I took this picture
so that you can see what a fun time we have on Geezers
Nite Out.
In this pic R. B. and Bubba were texting each other.

We did have two unexpected
visitors on this nite. Of course
there was a Bubba, but we
were also surprised by a long
time friend, Tammy.
We met her back in 2007 out
at Hook Line & Drinkers on
Portage Lakes. Here is my latest Alfred Hitchcock moment. I just had
to take a picture with Tammy.
She was at Legends with her
family. It was great to see her. Here I am with Tammy back in
2007 out on Portage Lakes
at a place no longer there
called Hook Line & Drinkers.
She was working for a radio
station called Rock 106.9.
They were there for Bikers
Nite! The Specials at Legends on
this Wednesday were 1/2 Price Apps, Chicken Soup, and
$1 off Wines.
I ordered the soup, but they brought me Garden Vegetable
soup. It was good so I ate it.
Then all of the rest of the Geezers who were there ordered some. Here are the copy cats eating theIrs. A popular appetizer was the
Grilled Chicken Strips. Most
of the Geezers ordered that too. I guess I know my food! However, Billy Bob broke that chain with his order of Loaded
Fries. I was beginning to wonder if they will wait to
see what I order in the future
before they do!
Geezers and friend at the bar
at Ray's Place from R-L are S. B., R. B., Krisko, and Billy Bob. This is a picture of the taps at one side of the bar.
Ray's does have a large variety of imported beers on
tap. This may look like a Bloody
Mary, but it's not. It's a drink
that Spike (Swish) drinks called Red Eye. The drink was invented in Dallas, Texas.
It is nothing but three parts beer, and one part tomato
juice. That's right tomato juice.
If you like beer, and you like tomato juice you will luv it.Here we have a dish that
S. B. (Dougie), ordered. It
is Shrimp Stir Fry. It looked
very good. He said that it
was Mavelous!I (Joebo) did not order as healthy of a meal as S.B.,
but it wasn't that bad. In fact
it was Mavelous. I ordered a
Corned Beef sandwich, and
a cup of Ray's Famous Chili.
They were good together. Now Billy Bob didn't care
about any stinkin' calories.
He ordered the Big One. Meat
Loaf dinner with generous
pieces of the meat, and mashed potatoes with ...GRAVY. Of course he did
start off with a salad. We were unofficially celebrating Spike's (Swish)
B-Day. I bought him a card
with two $5 Ohio Instant
Lottery tickets in it. On one
ticket called $500 Frenzy he
won on every thing he scraped off of the ticket for
a total of $20. It was on a $5 ticket. Here it is! This is the front of the B-Day
card I bought him. Very
innocent. This is the card after Spike
opened it up. It's sort of hard
to explain, butt when he
opened it up the young ladies'
behind shook like a blender!
I gave the same card to S. B.
back in January for his B-Day!This is how they serve a Scotch on The Rocks at Ray's
Place. It's a tiny galss with ONE ice cube in it. He said taht is the way they do it. I personlaly like a lot of ice in
my rocks drinks. And here is S. B. in his signature pic of him sipping
his drink. He said it was Mavelous! And this is Carlos Santana the
first baseman for the Cleveland Indians.
While we were at Ray's the
Tribe was playing the St Louis
Cardinals. the team with the best record in baseball.
Indians won 2-0!Pitcher Corey Klube was pitching a No-Hitter for 6
innings until ex-Indian Jhonny
Peralta got a hit in the 7th
inning. Kluber went on to
strike out 18 batters in 8 innings. The most by an AL
pitched since Roger Clemmens
in 1998.His 18 SO's tied Bob Feller's
club record for a 9 inning game back in 1938.
Kluber had a chance to break
the MLB record of 20 SO's set
by Clemmens and Kerry Wood, but he was pulled after the 8th inning by bench coach Brad
Mills after Francona was kicked out of the game.

This might not make sense to
you, and probably not to the bartender who was a female.
It goes way back when R. B.
used to write fictiicious messages on S. B.'s tab after
he left. This time S. B. did it to
him.

GEEZERS NITE OUT - LEGENDS SPORTS PUB & GRILLE - GREEN - MAY 20, 2015
We were at Legends Sports
Pub & Grille on Wednesday,
May 20th, and for some reason I was very thirsty all
day long. So when I ordered
a draft Guinness to drink I also
ordered a glass of water. These were how my drinks looked on the bar.S. B. arrived a few minutes
later. He also drinks Guinness,
and he usually orders a glass
of water. So here how his
drinks looked in front of him
on the bar! Ditto!
Not impressed?Legends has a new Menu. One of the Appetizers is
Chickne Strips. You can get them fried or grilled. These are
grilled, and a generous portion. Here are the Geezers at the bar starting with S. BYes, we were still celebrating
Spike's B-Day. Here he is
reading the card he received
from R. B.
The next three pics are close
ups of the card, and the way
it will look on Spike's night
stand! This is a new item on Legend's menu. It is called an Italian
Sausage Bred Bowl.
The Forester ordered it, and
he did not give it a glowing
revue. Wink wink! This is the drink of choice of
S. B. to finish off his evening.
Not sure what it was but i'm guessing Scotch. And heeeeeere's Dougie in
his Signature photo. He dissed the Caribbean Blue
Martini for a real man's drink! The Cavs playoff game against the Atlanta Hawks
came on TV at 8:30.
This is Rachel Nichols, TNT
Sideline reoprter for the game.
I think that she looks like our
good friend Donna Miner who
has a daughter Rachel. This is Tricia, our bartender,
and Cavs fan for the evening.
I just noticed that she was
wearing a Cavs jersey. Up
until the playoffs she wasn't
permitted to wear one as she religiously done in the past.
And they WON! YEAH! HE WON!
GNO - HOOLEY HOUSE SPORTS PUB & GRILLE - MONTROSE WEST - MAY 27, 2015
GEEZERSNITE OUT
HOOLEY HOUSE
SPORTS BAR
MAY 27, 2015Here are two of our bartenders Lauren and Casie.
They took good care of us
the time that we spent there.Hooley's is an Irish Restaurant.
Spike ordered one of their Irish
Appetizers, Irish Egg Rolls.
He loves 'em!The last time we were at Hooley's S. B. ordered
a Chipotle Chicken Wrap with
Tater Tots. This time he was eating healthier eating a
Cobb Salad.I, Joebo, broke down and
ordered oen of their Shephard's Pie. Another Irish dish. It was excellent.Spike was ready to leave to
check on his Mom, who lives
with him and his wife Kathy,
but I twisted his arm and
bought him a Vodka & Cranberry. His fave!
GEEZERS NITE OUT - THE GALAXY PATIO PARTY - WADSWORTH - JUNE 3, 2015
The Geezers were out at
The Galaxy for the first time
this year for a Patio Party with
a Live Band. We were there on May 5 for the Cinco DeMayo party.
Here is Brittany behind the
bar taking an order from some
of the Geezers at the bar. Here is Fergie after he placed his order for dinner while
Drumstir is checking out the menu, wih S. B. in the background.R. B. and Spike sharing a laugh out at the Patio Bar.T. K. O'Grady a radio personality from WONE warming up the crowd for the band who is ready to play.Another pic of T K O'Grady
conversing with some of the crowd out on the patio. My fave meal at The Galaxy
for the Patio Party is a perfect
sized burger called the Shooting Star. Tastes great and ecomomically priced.I always order it with Extra
Pickle, and that is what I
get. S. B. did order something to
eat earlier, but here he is
sipping on his usual after
dinner drink. R. B., our Class Clown, used to write notes to the female bartenders on S. B.'s bill
after he would leave, and I
would take a picture of it and post it on the website. R. B.
hasn't done it for a while, but he couldn't pass up this chance.
Here is Becca, the other bartender working out at
the Patio Bar on this Wednesday nite. The reason we came out to
The Galaxy on this nite after
it was voted in was that the Juke Hounds were playing.
We remembered them from
last year, and they are a
good group. Here is a pic I took of the band
out on the Patio before I left.
They sounded great.
My Grilled Chicken Strips. This
is one of the Appetizers that
was 50% off from 4-7.
R. B. decided to try another
appetizer, the Stuffed Potato
Skins. They gave him a generous portion so he offered me one. I tried one.
A little dry, but tasty. Here was our bartender for
the evening, Tricia. We first
met her in 2005 when we first
started coming to Legends.
She has treated us great ever
since. Two of our friends that we
have known from before we
were Geezers,
Dewster and Gayle, surprise
us every once in a while by dropping in.
Here is Dewster enjoying a
brew.This is Gayle's dinner. I believe
that this is a Cobb Salad. A healthy choice. And this is Gayle's husband's
meal, Dewster. I don't remember exactly what it was, but seeing the fries it sure wasn't healthy!
GEEZERS NITE OUT- LEGENDS SPORTS PUB & GRILLE- UNIONTOWN - JUNE 10, 2015
Hooley House has three other
locations in Ohio. They are
located in Brooklyn, Mentor, and Westlake.
They all have patios. Hooley's
at Montrose has a patio under construction now.Hooley's other three locations
have Patio Parties on Fridays
starting at 5 PM with Live
Entertainment. I'm sure that Hooley's is planning to do the same thing at Montrose. One
of the bartenders told me that
they are intending on putting a
Fireplace out there as well. This is Raquel, one of our bartenders for the nite.
She was the one who waited
on Spike and I (Joebo) when
we first arrived. Here is Raquel again with our
other two bartenders.
From L-R are Raquel, Hayley,
and Kailey. They took good
care of us while we were
there.Here are Spike's Irish Egg
Rolls. Hooley's is an Irish
Restuarant. They do have
American food as well. Spike
luvs his Irish egg rolls. This is my (Joebo) Shepherd's
Pie. It is another Irish item on
the memu, and it tastes great. This is Drumstir's Corned
Beef Irish Melt. Also an Irish
item off of Hooley's Menu. Here is Drumstir saving the best for last. An Irish pickle.I recommended the Turkey
Club Wrap to Fergie, and that
is what he ordered. Without
Mayo. WE Hate It!
He loved the wrap. This is Fergie's after dinner
drink. A Gin & Tonic. Enlglish?S. B. ordered the Chipotle
Chicken Wrap with Grilled
Veggies. The last time he was
here he had the same wrap,
but his side was Tater Tots!
Here is S. B. with his after dinner drink. Jameson Irish
Whiskey was on Special for
$3. That was his drink on this
nite.
GNO - HOOLEY HOUSE SPORTS PUB & GRILLE - MONTROSE WEST - JUNE 24, 2015
