FLOYD "BUTCH" EASTERLING, JR
We have more sad news to report, although you are probably aware of this by now. The brother of Kathy Swisher, wife of our Bob Swisher passed away on July 28, 2016.

Butch Easterling was 71 years old. He was the MVP of his Kenmore H. S. basketball team, and later went on to play for the University of Akron.

He was a Boy Scout Leader, church group leader, a Deacon, Lay Minister.
He was also a baseball and basketball coach, and Stephen Minister Leader.

We understand that there were hundreds of people there offering their condolences at the calling hours with a line of them outside for three hours. It sounds like he was a very popular guy.

We are sure that Kathy will miss him dearly, and we offer our most sincere condolences to Kathy, Bob and the rest of the Easterling family
CONGRATULATIONS
MARILYN K. KASCHLAK
The Geezers would like to congratulate our good friend Marilyn for a job well done with her life. It is a very difficult task.

And we we are glad that associating with us did not deter you from you goal! LOL!

Way to go Marilyn. .
FLORIDA GEEZER IN TOWN
We had a surprise guest join us Wednesday, nite, August 10 at the Firehouse on Tallmadge Circle in Tallmadge, OH.

It was our Florida Geezer Jim "Jimbo" Fish. Jimbo is a longtime Geezer, Akron resident, and an Associate of the Corporate Headquarters of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.

He, and his wife Karen picked up stakes, and moved to Homosassa, FL about 6 or 7 years ago. They are doing fine, and they also purchased a beautiful new Modular home a few years ago.

It was good to see Jimbo, and we hope to see him on our our next annual trip to Florida next year.

GEEZERS SHOW UP IN FORCE AT GALAXY
There was a total of 11 Geezers at The Galaxy in Wadsworth for their Patio Party on August 17 at one time or another. They were not all there at one time, but they made an appearance. That includes the Travelin' Man "Big Daddy" Minier, and the surprise of the nite "Happy Hank" Inman. It was the biggest turn out that we have had this year.
As you know Hank, Big Daddy, S. B., and Joebo are members of the Phantom Band. They will be getting back together to play again for a GNO meeting on October 26 at the Houston Pub in Norton for their 3rd Annual Halloween Party with the Legends Band.
Speaking of bands go to our MEDIA page to see, and hear a short clip of the Colin John Electric Show who was the featured band out on the patio. There is a live band performing every Wednesday for Galaxy's Patio Parties during the warmer months of the year.

Also go to our PHOTOS page to see some of the pics that we took during the course of the evening of the Geezers, our bartenders, and many more.

Next Wednesday, August 24, we are scheduled to meet at Dusty's Yacht Club.
