Geezers Nite Out - Jerzee's Sports Grille - Green
We were back at Jerzee's on this Wednesday for the first time since August 5, 2012. Where has the time gone?

Jerzee's has a comfortable deck with a Full Bar, and plenty of picnic style tables undercover, and low tables with umbrellas out on the extended deck when needed. Fortunately we didn't need any cover on this nite, However, there were thunderstorms in the area with a high of 77 degrees. We always usually sit at the bar. Our bartender for the nite was Rachel. She took good care of us.

The topic of discussion, and also on ESPN was the unbelievable contract that Kevin Love signed to stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the next 5 years for $110 Million Dollars. OMG! That is amazing! I believe that the King, LeBron, had something to do with it. You know, the Movie Star?

We had a couple of guests stop by to say Hello. A good fried of the Geezers, Pam Buehrle stopped by with her husband Ken. Our Entertainment Director, R. B., and his family travel to Hilton Head each summer for vacation with Pam, and Ken.

Also, a good friend of ours from Dusty's Yacht Club, Dianne, also stopped by. She ended up ordering the Wednesday Special at Jerzee's of a Steak Dinner with fries for about $8.95.

Most of us ordered from Jerzee's Menu. Pictures of what we ate, our bartender, Rachel, and of some of the guests are on our PHOTOS Page.

There are a number of Big Screen TV's out at the Patio Bar. We were watching what they had playing. But around the time that the Cleveland Indians were supposed to be on there was a New York Yankees game on. We asked to have the Indians game put on in its place. They put the Indians game on at a TV to our left, but kept the Yankees game on right in our face. Needless to say we didn't like it. However, the Yankees game was bumped for a World Cup Soccer game.

Wednesday nite, July 8, we will be meetign at one of our fave summer places, The Galaxy Patio Party in Wadsworth.

Geezers Nite Out - The Galaxy Patio Party - Wadsworth, OH
This day was supposed to be partly sunny, and warm. At 5:17 PM it was cloudy and 72 degrees. A couple of hours later it cooled down, and was windy,  which led them to bring out the patio heaters.

Fergie finally broke down, and bought a Smart Phone. He bought a Samsung similar to the one that Drumstir has. Fergie hasn't had the phone that long so he keeps hitting Drumstir up for Help with it. Being a financial aficionado, Fergie likes to keep up with the Stock Market. He had Drumstir show him some basic functions before, but he needed to embellish his search options. So Drumstir took over, and update it...for Free.

As usual on Wednesday nights, DJ TK O' Grady from WONE Radio was there to warm up the crowd for the band of the night Rock Radio Band. They were very good, and they played great Cover Songs of Pop and Oldies songs. One of which was Hang On Sloopy. I took a short video of them playing it with the crowd doing the O-H-I-O pantomime.

The Galaxy has a Happy Hour Menu from 3 - 6 PM. They have Well Drinks for $3 during that time, and $3 Craft Beers. The Happy Hour Food Menu consists of (4) $3 Items: 8 Pretzel Bites, Double Header Galaxy Sliders, 5 Sauerkraut Balls, and a Circle L Dawg with Chips.  After 6 PM the Galaxy has a fine MENU with many other items to choose from.

Spike ordered the Sauerkraut Balls off of the Happy Hour Menu. Drumstir and Fergie had the Patty Melt. I (Joebo) had the Shooting Star burger. It is 1/4 Pound burger and it is just the right size. (With double pickle)

Our bartenders for Wednesday nite were  Jenna, and Brittany. For pics from the evening go to our PHOTOS page.

We are scheduled to meet at the Firehouse on Tallmadge Circle on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.

Geezers Nite Out - Galaxy Patio Party II -  Wadsworth
This was the second visit to The Galaxy in July. The last time we were there was July 8. We did make a stop at The Firehouse on Tallmadge Circle on July 15th in between visits. We normally don't meet on a Wednesday at the same location more than once in the same month, but since there were 5 Wednesdays in July, and it was during the summer, the Galaxy was voted in twice.

It was not an especially hot evening. The temperature at 5:48 PM was 77 degrees, and my iPhone said that it felt like 77 degrees. So I assume that the humidity was fairly stable.

The band for the evening, out on the Patio, was the Vince Ruby Trio. They sounded very good and didn't sound like three pieces at all. I had to see them to believe it!

A friend of the Geezers, and a former Goodyear associate, Krisko, stopped in to say hello. She lives close by off of Copley Rd, and was out in the afternoon in her Saturn Sky sports car. She recently retired, and she is enjoying it immensely.

Most of us ate from The Galaxy's Sports Bar Menu out on the Patio.   S. B. had his fave Chicken Caesar Wrap that no one else cares for. Spike tried the Italian Sub, and motioned 'with his hands' that it was OK. Fergie had his usual Patty Melt after looking at everything else on the menu.

The next stop, and last Wednesday nite in July was at Dusty's Yacht Club on July 29 on Portage Lakes.,

Geezers Nite Out - Dusty's Yacht Club - Portage Lakes
It was voting night at Dusty's. That was it! The highlight of the evening. Oh yes, I forgot, there were two ties that had to be revoted on. A very tense situation. However, our Entertainment Director, R. B., handled it admirably as he does 3 days a week at the Goodyear, and the results have been posted.

Another highlight! There is no kitchen at Dusty's to speak of, but Hot Dogs, and Pizza were provided for us, by the real highlight of the evening, Karen, the bartender. She was our Bartender of The Month back in March of 2007 when we were doing that function.

However, Vicki Rarrick, a friend of Krisko's, the Geezers, and Karen was there with her home made Salsa, and Banana Nut bread. The bread was delicious. I haven't tried the salsa yet. Thanks Vicki!

Well, enough excitement for now. We are scheduled back to Dusty's again on August 26, and Wednesday, August 5 we will be back again to The Galaxy in Wadsworth.
